Arrival and Departure

Check-in time is from 2:00pm. Please advise us of your expected arrival time if self-driving, or flight details if you require airport transfers.

Check-out time is prior to 10:00am. Late check-out is by request only, and dependent on occupancy levels. Fees may apply.


We accept cash, Mastercard, Visa and American Express. All card transactions incur a 1.5% surcharge except when the card is inserted and savings or cheque accounts are selected.

Credit Card Surety / Security Deposit

It is a condition of tenancy that the occupant provides a valid credit card pre-authorisation to The Cambridge and agrees to allow any cost for which they are liable under the tenancy to be levied against this credit card. Including but limited to charges for extra cleaning, damage or breakages.

Where a credit card is not available, a minimum cash deposit of $200 will be required.


Persons up to 15 years of age are considered children, and are not permitted to stay in a room without an adult. Persons aged 16 years and over are classified as adults, incurring extra person charges.


While the safety and security of our guests is a high priority, The Cambridge takes no responsibility for items/vehicles lost or stolen. Please ensure rooms/vehicles are properly locked and any valuables kept out of sight or secured in your in-room safe.


Please note that photo identification may be asked for and/or copied during the check-in process.


Rooms are serviced (including linen change) every third day. Please see reception if clean towels or more bathroom amenities are required. Rate of servicing may increase depending on time of year.

Travel Insurance

Our remote and unique locations make for the perfect holiday destination. It is important to note that travelling to paradise comes with risks that are out of our control, and yours. For this reason, we highly recommend that all of our guests purchase travel insurance prior to travelling. Please take the time to review your travel insurance policy to ensure that you are covered in the unlikely event that your travel plans are disrupted due to weather, theft or acts of God.

Room Allocation

Occupancy of a specific room number or area is on request only. The Cambridge will endeavour to fulfil requests, however, cannot guarantee a specific room.


Under exceptional circumstances The Cambridge reserves the right to relocate a booking to a suitable alternative of similar type.

Occupancy Limits

The Cambridge room maximums are stated at time of booking. The number of occupants must not exceed that which is expected for the bedding – Queen/King: 2 people, Single: 1 person. The Cambridge reserves the right to adjust occupancy limits.

Quiet Times

All visitors are required to respect the rights of others to enjoy The Cambridge at all times, and to observe a “quiet” time of 11pm to 5am in all areas. Times may vary due to special events.

Breach of Terms and Conditions

Any breach of the terms and conditions by the registered guest, other occupants or their guests may result in immediate cancellation of the tenancy without refund.

Cancellation Policy

Written notice of alterations and cancellations must be provided for all bookings except for those cancelled in person in which case appropriate identification will be required. Cancellations should not be considered actioned until the guest/agent has received confirmation from The Cambridge.

0–7 days prior to arrival
  • Amendment: Full accommodation cost per room night cancelled
  • Cancellation: Total accommodation cost per room cancelled
April – September
4–7 days prior to arrival
  • Amendment: 1 night’s accommodation cost per room night cancelled
  • Cancellation: 1 night’s accommodation cost per room cancelled
0–3 days prior to arrival
  • Amendment: Full accommodation cost per room night cancelled
  • Cancellation: Total accommodation cost per room cancelled

“No show” bookings will incur the total accommodation amount owed.

COVID-19 Cancellation Policy

If government restrictions do not allow for a guest to physically travel to the region, applicable bookings may be transferred to an alternative date (subject to availability) without the application of transfer or cancellation fees. If applicable guests do not wish, or are unable, to transfer their booking to another available date, a 100% refund will be made of the deposit paid. Please note that this does not apply if guests change their mind or choose not to visit the region, where normal cancellation charges will apply. Proof of residence may be requested.
